Note: All Creatures Rescue in Lake Charles, LA is in need of help from other rescuers and rescue groups. Our vet decided on 9/1/06 that he would no longer be assisting rescue groups with their efforts due to his lack of staff and the ever growing charge accounts. Needless to say, this has put a tremendous strain on us and we had no prior knowledge of this either, just a letter that arrived on 9/2/06. We can no longer get vet appointments, can no longer charge these visits and our account balance (which was quite large) has to be paid in full by 12/31/06. Our vet has agreed to help us on a small scale after the remaining balance is paid. I understand his circumstances but he is the one that helped us get started and helped us save lives, without his support, we will never be able to continue on the scale we once operated. Because of this, we are unable to vet the remaining 2 dogs we have at even a reasonable cost and are barely keeping up with the care required for the rest of the crew. Because we are not 501 (c) 3 we do not receive donations, grants or any other assistance. We have always paid the vet costs out of our pockets and with adoption fees. The dogs that are fully vetted, we are just asking for someone to help assist them in finding good, forever homes. We are managing the vet bill and do not wish for any reimbursements on the care we have provided. There are, however, some dogs that are fully vetted with the exception of heartworm treatments. We have 2 that are unvetted at this time. Adoption fees range from $75-100. If you are a rescue and would like to transfer one of these pets to your organization, please contact us. No fees will be assessed to rescues willing to transfer.

Emma is an adorable chihuahua/pug mix. Just look at that face! She was rescued from Roicy as well and has been micro-chipped. She has not been vetted and her heartworm status is unknown. Emma is not sure about men and doesn't warm up to them much. Emma also needs a quiet environment, preferably without children. She is sure to make a great addition to a loving home. Missy is a beautiful Jack Russell Terrier purebred. This lovely girl was rescued from Roicy and is micro-chipped. She is up to date on all shots and spayed. Missy is terrified of men and is heartworm positive. She will require treatment. Those sweet eyes will tell you that she longs to be loved. Rosie is a catahoula that is full of sweetness and ready to play! She was rescued from Roicy Duhon and has been micro-chipped. She has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations. She is also heartworm-negative and on prevention. Can't you picture yourself with this cutie! Mable is a Great Dane/Hound mix. While we don't have a photo of her just yet--she's well worth her weight in gold! She's spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Mable is heartworm-positive and will require treatment. Her stature is comparable to the love she'll give her new owner. Julie was an owner-return at Roicy Duhon in Lafayette, LA. She is super sweet and loves to be petted. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Aleu was rescued from death row at the local pound. She has the most beautiful blue eyes! She is very sweet, intelligent,energetic, obedient, and lovable! She gets along great with my kids, which are ages 10 years old and up. She also gets along with our goat and other dogs. Aleu likes our cats too, and wants to be playmates with them. The cats on the other hand, are not so sure! Aleu loves to run and play. She loves to play fetch with a ball with my daughter. She also loves to watch the cats and the other dogs, and wants to go play with them. She does play with the goat through the fence, as they gently rub their heads against the fence. Aleu is dewormed, vaccinated, spayed, and on monthly heartworm preventative. Tippy is a precious, intelligent 8 month old German Shepherd mix puppy who likes to play, play, play. She is super friendly and loves attention, especially when its her tummy that's being rubbed. Your arm will get tired long before she does. Tippy is currently an outside dog who often uses her dog house as her toy box. She loves to run in the sprinkler and drink out of the faucet. Tippy is an all-around girl! She would do best as the alpha female where she can be spoiled beyond repair!! She has been spayed and is up to date on all of her shots. She is also on Heartguard and K9 Advantix flea protection. She will require a large fenced-in yard. Princess Tippy, as she is sometimes called, needs plenty of room to run and play, and a safe place to do so.
